Bubble wrap works best inside a box. You wrap the product in bubble wrap, place it in a box with additional void fill if necessary, and you have multi-level protection.

If what you need to protect is very fragile, combine bubble wrap with double-wall boxes. It's the pro combination. More expensive, but for truly fragile items, it's worth it.
