Step-by-step: how to package wine bottles for shipping
1. Wrap each bottle individually
Cut a piece of bubble wrap about 50-60 cm long and wrap the entire bottle, from base to neck. Secure with adhesive tape. If you don't have bubble wrap, you can use several layers of crumpled kraft paper.
Tip: pay special attention to the neck of the bottle, which is the most vulnerable area. Add an extra layer of protection to that part.
2. Place the bottles in a box with dividers
Boxes with internal dividers (grids) are the best option for shipping wine. Cardboard dividers create individual compartments that prevent bottles from touching each other during transit.

3. Fill the gaps

The golden rule: if you shake the box, no movement should be heard.
4. Reinforce the base of the box
The weight of wine bottles (between 1.2 and 1.5 kg each) concentrates the load at the base. Reinforce the bottom with an additional layer of cardboard or bubble wrap and apply a strip of packing tape in an H-shape (one longitudinal strip and two transversal ones).
5. Close and seal correctly
Close the box and seal it with the H-tape method both top and bottom. For shipments of 6 or more bottles, consider using stretch film around the box to provide extra cohesion to the package.
6. Label the package
Place visible «FRAGILE» and «THIS SIDE UP» labels on at least two sides of the package. Although not all carriers respect these instructions, they help reduce rough handling.
